We stayed here for 2 nights. We took 3 rooms, 2 of which were fine, but the 3rd needed to be changed twice due to the stench. Breakfast was excellent. Bathrooms were great. Be prepared to lie on a very uncomfortably hard, slatted, wooden deck chair, with no mattress, if you want to relax at the pool. But service was very poor. The receptionist with whom we spent considerable time planning a private car to take us to Chau Doc, a city 3 hours away, to catch our 7am ferry, omitted to confirm this transport leaving us stranded in the hotel lobby at 3am, we did not allow David the pushy bel boy to organize our transport as there are many bad reviews about him.
The receptionist then denied that we even confirmed with her, despite our 20 minute discussion with her about this transport. And then theres the 4th floor How is a 4 star hotel allowed to house teenage prostitutes with a pimp who oversees them??
Every male in our party aged was immediately given a private room for their "hot stone massage" and were offered sexual favors. The girls explained that the hotel does not pay them and they are expected to get tips over and above the basic massage rate from the clients. How does a 4 star hotel get away with this? First of all, we were not offers any kind of massage or other strange service, but we also did not go to the 4th floor.
Overall it is clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Staff is kind, but those who work at the reception at least, those that we met as we were there don't speak english so well, and communicating with them was not always easy, but still they did their best to overcome their language deficits and be kind to us. It is a good hotel; rooms are nice and clean, good breakfast, situated in a good location but BEWARE of the much hyped massage parlor In the 4th floor it is a total rip-off, there are no masseuses but hookers.
